Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1150
Hey, hey Teri here, how’s it going, happy Tuesday.
Today, I want to give you a little bit of a tip when it comes to making calls with your Alexa and there are a number of different commands that you can say, to get Alexa to make some phone calls, assuming you have already paired your Echo device with your phone.
Get ready, I’m gonna read out a bunch of basically a whole list here of different things that you can say, and different ways that you can get Alexa to make your phone calls, here we go.
So you can say, “Call a person’s Echo”, and obviously substitute that person for a name, so called Bob’s Echo. You can say, “Call Bob’s mobile”, you can say, “Call Bob on his home phone”, you can say, “Call Bob at work”, “Call Bob’s office”.
So assuming you’ve got all these different numbers in there for Bob, or Jill, or whoever, get a little off topic here.
I have to admit, I’ve used that one a couple times to find my phone when I’ve misplaced it.
Alright, you can also say call mom, dad, grandma, you get the idea, you can say call and then actually save the number, the actual digits.
You can say, “Call my phone”, and actually, I have to admit, I’ve used that one a couple times to find my phone when I’ve misplaced it.
You can say call a device group name, so if you’ve already named a group of devices into one group, you can specify that or you could also say call the group name group.
So whatever that name is, maybe the downstairs group, you can say that as well, so lots of different ways to communicate with your Echo device, lots of different ways to say that command and there you go.
So now you’ve got different ways to make some calls, alright?
Happy calling, happy Tuesday, talk to you tomorrow.
