Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #774

Hey there, Dr. Teri Fisher here with your flash briefing for today and again, I want to give you another tip.

If you are at home and potentially if you have multiple people at home right now and you are in different rooms, but you have multiple Echo devices.

If you’re looking for a way to communicate with everybody at the same time, what you may or may not know is that you can actually use Alexa, your Echo devices as an Intercom and it’s really, really simple.

All you do is you have to say, “Alexa announce” and then you make your announcement.

And what’ll happen is then Alexa will then broadcast that announcement in your voice throughout all of the Echo devices that are on that same account.

There’s a little nice sort of sound effect that also accompanies each one of those announcements.

Use Alexa as An Intercom

And if you broadcast certain commands, common commands, things like time for dinner or time to wake up or those sorts of things, there’s a little nice sort of sound effect that also accompanies each one of those announcements and it’s specific to that announcement.

So there you go, just a little tip, how you can sort of stay in touch if people are in different rooms and you’re sick and tired of yelling from room to room, as I know, we’ve done that in our house a number of times.

So try that out, I hope that’s helpful for you and have a great day. Okay? Be safe, talk to you tomorrow.

Listen on your Echo Device! Easy as 1-2-3!
