Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #973

Hello, Teri here, happy Sunday, hope you’re having a fantastic weekend.

Today being a Sunday, we like to answer questions from the community and this one comes from our Facebook community, again, you can access that at AlexainCanada.ca/Community.

Now, the question in the community for this time around is from Laurie Jones, and she says, “What is the best thermostat or is there one Alexa can control” and this generated lots and lots of comments.

So I guess people have opinions about their thermostats, which is great.

I personally don’t have a smart thermostat, but it’s something that I have been interested in checking out myself.

And the running theme here pretty much kind of summarizes that a lot of people use, I hope I’m pronouncing this right Ecobee, and it works very well with Alexa.

The other one that seems to come up a lot is Nest, so Nest works with Alexa and then there’s also a company’s called Mysa and Sinopé.

they are using Ecobee and it has lots of different things that it can control

Smart Thermostats for Alexa

However, the majority of people in this chat here say that they are using Ecobee and it has lots of different things that it can control, for example, it can provide warning messages, filter reminders, it monitors the rooms during the day can turn the heat down, etc, when you need it.

So that one seems to be the most popular one here and pretty much everybody that commented say that they really like it.

So I guess the moral of the story here Laurie is you may have to do a little bit of research but I would certainly check out an Ecobee as one of the options for you and there you go.

And if you do get one, I’d love to hear what you think of it as well, what are your favorite uses for it and how does it work with Alexa, I’d love to hear a little bit about that.

For anybody else that would like to ask question, just join our community, like I said AlexainCanada.ca/Community.

There’s so many wonderful, wonderful people in there, thank you to everybody that participated in discussion for this question.

It’s so great to have a community like all of you, Northern voice to participate and really help each other out with this technology, so thank you for that.

Alright, have a wonderful rest of your weekend, I will talk to you tomorrow.
