Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1388
Hey there. Teri here. Hope you are doing well. It is Tuesday, and today I just want to report to you what Amazon has said were the top buys during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend.
No surprise. There are a number of Alexa devices that are on this list. So, out of the top 10 devices, I would say that probably three of them are directly related to a smart home device and/or Echo devices.
So let’s get right into it. I’ll tell you the ones that are relevant. Number nine was actually the Bluetooth Mesh Smart LED light bulb by the company that is spelled Sengled.
I have no idea how to actually pronounce that. Anyway, it’s that light bulb (The multicolor light bulb) that was the number nine product.
What’s interesting is, this light bulb was given away free with a lot of Echo devices. So if that’s included in the count, then there is no surprise there.

Out of interest, number eight was actually the second generation of the Apple AirPods. And of course, that can work with voice technology.
If we move on down the list, we come to number two. Number two is the Fire TV Stick 4K streaming device with an Alexa voice remote.
So, that was a very popular buy, and it’s a very easy way to convert any TV into a smart TV using the Fire TV Stick with voice control. So there you go.
I’m sure out of curiosity, you’re wondering what the number one thing that was sold is. It was not a smart home device. It was actually the AncestryDNA test kit.
Anyway, there you go. Interesting stuff. The other thing is I always think it’s kind of fun to look at those trends.

1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
