Hey there, how are you doing? It’s Teri here with your flash briefing for Tuesday and today I want to tell you about the podcast that’s coming out today.
It’s podcast 120 so to access it, you just go to AlexainCanada.ca/120 or you just search for Alexa in Canada in your podcast player or app.
Today I want to continue the theme from yesterday and help you to think of ways that you can use Alexa to keep you entertained and otherwise support what you’re doing at home because we are all cooped up right now.
As you may know, last week I held a virtual conference, a virtual webinar about voice technology and the Coronavirus and one of the speakers is Roger Kibbey.
You may know that name, he is a chief evangelist with Viv labs, which is actually the technology that powers Samsung Bixby.
Different ways that we can engage with the voice assistant to help us with the fact that we’re at home right now.
But here’s the thing, he came on the webinar and he talked about different ways that we can use our voice assistants, including Alexa.
In fact, he focused mostly on Alexa with all the different skills that are there to help support, for example, being physically active, being mentally stimulating, helping to support anxiety or depression, being entertaining and all of these different ways that we can engage with the voice assistant to help us with the fact that we’re at home right now.
So anyway, he comes on the podcast, the podcast is a recording of the presentation that he gave, and he goes into a whole bunch of skills that you can check out.

1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
