Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #406
Okay. Let’s talk about a question from the community today on Sunday. It’s Teri here with your flash briefing, and if you’ve been following along for the past number of Sundays. I always try to answer a question from the community on Sundays.
And today, the question comes from Lorraine Christian. She’s a member of our Facebook community. If you want to join your community, you simply go to AlexainCanada.ca/Community.
And she asks, “Can you have two Echos in the same house, and one be on the Canadian account, and one on the US account?” And the simple answer is, yes you can. You can set each one independently.
You would have to set it up through your Amazon account, whether it’s the US account or your Canadian account, but you can certainly do that. Keep in mind that there will be some pros and cons to doing that.
The pro is that you will actually be able to access different skills, depending on which device you are using. So you’ll be able to access the US skills on the US device, and the Canadian skills on the Canadian device.
You would have to set it up through your Amazon account, whether it’s the US account or your Canadian account.
The con, so to speak, is that you will no longer be able to pair them seamlessly for things such as announcements or multi-room setups, or if you want to use music on two different devices at the same time, that sort of thing.
