Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1204
Hello, hello, it’s Teri here with your flash briefing for Sunday and I’ve got a very important question today that I want to answer from the community.
It was on the Facebook page at VoiceinCanada.ca/Community and I mentioned in a recent flash briefing that Prime days is June 21, and 22nd and Irma Doornink, in the community, pointed out that on the Amazon.ca website, it states that Prime days has been delayed in Canada.
And here is the thing, unfortunately, that is true, Prime Day appears to not be happening in Canada this year.
So I need to apologize, my previous flash briefing was incorrect Prime Day has been postponed in Canada and I don’t know if it’s actually going to be happening.
I would not be surprised if there are still some great deals that you can get on Amazon during those days,
When you log into your Amazon account, and you browse the site, you may come across a notice and the notice actually says and I’ll read this to you, quote, “Prime Day is postponed in Canada due to COVID-19. Due to the increasing impact of COVID-19 across Canada, we have decided to postpone prime date while we focus on the safety of our employees and supporting our customers and selling partners”.
So that is the news, thank you for pointing that out, I appreciate that very much Irma and I hope that I’ve got some other news for you.
If I hear anything, I definitely will double check that and let you know but for the time being doesn’t look like it’s happening here.
However, there are some rumors going around that even though there isn’t an official Prime Day on June 21 and 22nd, I would not be surprised if there are still some great deals that you can get on Amazon during those days, it just might not be as extensive as Prime days.
So there you go, hope that clarifies it, my apologies for that, and I will talk to you again tomorrow.
Take care.
