Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1449

Hello, hello. Happy Sunday. Hope you’re doing well. As always, Sunday is a day to answer questions from you, from the community.

And if you want to be part of our community, just feel free to join us at VoiceinCanada.ca/Community. And you can join our Facebook group right there.

Now, for today, I want to answer a question from Sherry Oleniuk.

She says, “I just received my Echo Show 8. Is there a way to stop it from flashing onto a new screen every 10 seconds? I downloaded some pics, and I have them showing every other photo and it’s driving me crazy?”

So, yes, I can totally understand that. If the pictures are going too fast, it can be quite annoying.

So I want to give a shout-out to Gordon who responded in the group.

And he said, “If you’re referring to changing the photo that’s too fast, you can adjust the time length for the pictures in the settings”

If the pictures are going too fast, it can be quite annoying

Photo Slideshow Preferences on the Echo Show

And Sherry went ahead and did that and it worked out great. So this is how you do it. If you’re on your Echo Show device, you simply swipe down.

That will bring up a row of buttons, and you click on Settings. Then you scroll down to where you see the word Display. Click on that.

And now, under photo slideshow, you’ll see there’s actually an option to press on the words, Set Photo Slideshow Preferences.

You do that, and now you’re going to see that you have different options to change either the display or the speed.

Click on speed, and now you can actually change how quickly your photos will rotate through on the screen. So that’s how you do it.

Thanks, Sherry, for the question. Thanks, Gordon, for the response. And I hope that’s helpful to all of you.

Have a wonderful rest of your day and we’ll talk again tomorrow. Take care
