Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1441
Hello, hello. Happy Saturday. Teri here. Today, I want to give you a couple of different commands that you can use to get you ready for the Olympics, which start next Friday.
There are actually a lot of commands that you can say or ask of Alexa that’ll give you lots of information about the Beijing Olympics.
So today, I’ll give you a couple of them. I think I’ll go through a couple more next week as well, seeing that Saturdays are the days that we share commands.
Let’s get right to them. So, probably the most important one is if you’re not sure when certain things are, you can ask Alexa for schedules.
And that of course includes saying, “Alexa, when are the opening ceremonies?”
There’s actually a lot of commands that you can say or ask of Alexa that’ll give you lots of information about the Beijing Olympics
You can also find out about the closing ceremonies. You can also start to ask about schedules such as, “When is figure skating?”
You can do that for other sports as well. And you can also ask for your Olympic update periodically.
Right now, if you ask that you’ll be told a little bit about the odds that Canada has in terms of winning a certain total number of medals as well as some sports their favorite in.
So there you go. You can say, “Alexa, what’s my Olympics update?” I think we’ll stop there for now.

1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
