Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #235
Alright, well, today’s a day that a lot of people have been waiting for, October 11th, 2018. Why is this a big day? Because today is the day that all of these new Amazon devices that I’ve been speaking about over the last couple of weeks, and has been in the press a million times over the last couple of weeks since Amazon made this big announcement.
This is the day that they are officially available in Canada and will be delivered. So if you’ve pre-ordered you may already have received your devices by the time that I’m recording this. If you haven’t, and you order today, you will be able to get them as soon as you choose to have your shipping come in. So, what are the new devices in particular that are available today?
Well, first of all, of course, there’s the updated Echo Dot. And by the way, if you want to check out my podcast from a couple of weeks ago, I go into a lot of detail about all these devices, but just briefly what’s available today. Again, the new generation of the Echo Dot, in fact, it’s the third generation now of the Echo Dot. The second generation of the Echo Plus is available as well.
The Echo Sub is available, the Amazon smart plug that I talked about yesterday, and probably the biggest news, the one that everybody has really been waiting for, is the Amazon Echo Show, which is, of course, the device that’s got the 10-inch screen and Alexa built in, and a smart home hub built in.

So that’s sort of the deluxe high-end model of the new devices that are available. So, anyway, they’re there, they’re up for grabs right now. So you can go and check it out. If you want to see a list of everything.

Listen on your Echo Device! Easy as 1-2-3!
1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
