Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #865
Hello there, hope you’re doing well.
Yesterday it was Canada day, but there is more Canadian content on Alexa this month and so I wanted to tell you all about that today.
If you didn’t get a chance to listen to yesterday’s flash briefing, I did talk about some of the different, Canada Day themed things that you can say to Alexa.
So you can always go back to the VoiceinCanada.ca website to hear that. But for today, I want to tell you just about a couple of other things that you might want to experiment with.
You can get Alexa to sing “Oh Canada” as I mentioned yesterday, and on top of that, every day this month, you can get to hear some of the thoughts by Alanis Morissette.
And all you do is you simply say, “Alexa, what’s Alanis’s thought of the day?” and every day you will get something different.

The other thing that I wanted to tell you is that if you are an Amazon music subscriber, you can listen to some custom playlists from some of the prominent Canadian artists.
And these are songs that are selected by the musicians that they feel represent their cities, their towns.
And so some of the playlists are Michael Bublé, Lindsay L, Alan Doyle, The Sheep Dogs, so you can search for those and have a listen.
And, there you go, a little extra Canadian content for you today on July 2nd.
And like I said, like the command “What is Alanis’s thought of the day?” I mean, that you can do every day for the whole month of July.

Listen on your Echo Device! Easy as 1-2-3!
1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
