Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1099
Hey there, Teri here, Happy Sunday, hope you’re doing well.
Sunday as usual is the day that we answer questions from the community and today we have a question from Christopher Carlson from the Facebook community.
And if you want to join our community there, you just go to VoiceinCanada.ca/Community.
It’s a tongue twister, Christopher’s question is, “Is there a way to get Alexa to forget a smart device, I have a smart plug that’s not working. So I replaced it but if I asked Alexa to turn on that device, she tells me it’s not responding”.
how you get Alexa to forget or essentially delete that smart device.
Well, here is what you do, Christopher, you basically have to use your app, you click on the devices icon at the bottom of the app, then you’re gonna find that particular device.
So in your case, you said it was a smart plug, so you click on the plugs and then you click on the actual plug.
In the top right corner, you’ll see a little gear icon, you click on that, and then that gear icon turns into a trash can and then you click on that and that is how you get Alexa to forget or essentially delete that smart device.
So I hope that is helpful to you, Christopher, I hope that is helpful to everyone else and great question and that’s how you clean things up.
Have a wonderful day, and I will talk to you again tomorrow.
Take care.
