Hey there, Teri Fisher here, and I’ve got a quick tip for you today and this all has to do with weather alerts.

So depending on where you are living in the country in the world, you may have certain weather patterns that you’d like to have a notification of prior to when those weather patterns hit you.

And you can actually get Alexa to notify you of that, it’s really, really simple to do this you simply say, “Alexa, tell me when there’s a severe weather alert” and then she will do that.

Next time there is some severe type of weather Alexa can give you the heads up

Get Weather Alerts from Alexa

You have to enable the notification, but then the next time there is some severe type of weather Alexa can give you the heads up before it hits, very simple, very easy to do and it’s great.

Just keep in mind that the address that you have set up in your device in your account is what Alexa is going to use to determine where you are and if the weather alerts are relevant to your area.

So just make sure that you do keep that in mind. If you want to turn off the weather alerts, you can simply say, “Alexa cancel severe weather alerts” and that is it, alright?
