Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1420

Hello, hello. Hope you’re doing well. Happy Saturday. Hope your weekend is off to a great start.

As usual on Saturday we like to share commands and things that you can say to Alexa. And I’ve got some fun ones today for you.

So, to start us off, let’s go with this one. You can try this, “Alexa, tell me an inspiring story.” And she will do just that. Tell you a fun story.

Here’s something else that’s kind of fun too. You can say, “Alexa, send a hug.” And she’ll ask who you want to send that hug to.

And you can tell her and I’ll leave the rest to you to discover. It’s kind of fun. And here’s an interesting one as well.

If you’re on a show device, you can tap on the ones that you want

Food Preferences on Alexa to Get Personalized Recipe Ideas

If you’d like to use Alexa to get ideas for recipes, but the recipes that she’s giving you aren’t necessarily aligning with your personal diet, perhaps you’re vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, paleo, keto, kosher, it goes on and on and on.

You can actually set your food preferences and that way, she (Alexa) will give you personalized recipe ideas.

To do that you just say “Alexa, open my food preferences.”

And then if you’re on a show device, you can tap on the ones that you want, and then you’ll be able to click Save, and then you will be set.

So there you go. Have some fun with that, and I will talk to you again tomorrow.
