Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #739
Hey there, Dr. Teri Fisher here with your flash briefing from voice in Canada for today.
And you know how much I love routines, I think routines are some of the best functions that we can do with Amazon Alexa.
Well I wanted to tell you that when you go into your app, looks like Amazon is starting to provide suggested routines, routines that a lot of people would find useful.
And there is one there that I noticed now and so the way you find this is you go into your Alexa app, you click on the menu button in the top left corner, you then click on routines.
And then you’re going to see your routines but you’re also going to see another option where you can click on featured.
And when you click on that, I imagine this list is going to become more extensive over time.
Amazon is starting to provide suggested routines, routines that a lot of people would find useful.
Currently there is one there under recommended for me and when I click that the particular routine is called an alarm is dismissed.
You have the option of enabling it and what it will do is it will simply create a routine that when you dismiss an alarm, Alexa will say a random phrase from a catalog of good morning phrases and then Alexa will tell you your weather.
So that’s very interesting, I think that’s very cool.
So there you go, if you want to enable that routine, there’s almost no work involved.
You literally go into the app and you’re going to click on that and click enable and you’re done and you’re good to go.
So try it out, see what you think. I’m very curious to see what other routines Amazon brings into this feature.

2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
