Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #45
Hey there and happy Wednesday today I have a quick skill that I want to tell you about something that I think is pretty neat and it’s a fun game that you can try out.
It’s called Escape the Room and of course you enable it in the usual way by saying “Alexa, enable Escape the Room” or “open escape the room” and this skill is pretty cool.
The idea behind this is you are in a room and you actually have a number of choices of different rooms and they seem to constantly be adding new rooms.
So when you finish the game, you can expect that. I would assume that they will continue to add new ones as they have added some new ones recently.
Anyway the point of this is, you’re in a room and you can tell Alexa some certain commands.
I think is pretty neat and it’s a fun game that you can try out.
So you can say, “look in front of me”, “look to the right”, “look to the left”, and you will hear about certain objects.
Maybe there’s a desk, maybe there’s a drawer, maybe there’s a vent, maybe there’s a garbage can and when you’re looking in that direction, you can then interact with that particular item.
So you know, inspect the garbage can or you know, inspect the door, inspect the vent and the idea is over the course of playing this game, you will pick up clues and you will discover items that eventually if you can put the clues together, can help you to escape the room.
And I don’t know about you, but escape the room, real escape rooms have become a very popular here and as an outing for people to go and do.
I know some of my kids have been invited to birthday parties where they go to escape rooms and they try to work together to figure out the clues.
And this is a pretty neat concept, the way that this has been brought to Alexa. So check it out.
I’d love to hear your feedback as usual based on the skill and tell me what you think.
If you can give, you can solve the game, then you’re doing a lot better than I have because I still haven’t gotten there yet.
Anyway good luck with it and give it a shot to. Talk to you again soon.
