Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1149
Hey there, Teri here with your flash briefing for Monday, and I wanted to give you another tip today with regards to the Echo Auto.
And you may know this already, but I think it’s important for you to realize that there is one critical difference between using calling and messaging on an Echo device that is in your home, versus using an Echo device that is in your car, i.e. the Echo Auto.
And it is simply this, when you are using your Echo Auto, there must be some way that that data has to be transmitted from the cloud, right?
And so the way that happens is you pair the Echo Auto with your smartphone, what does that mean? Well, it means that when you are making calls, or when you’re sending texts, you are using your smartphone plan for calling and messaging.
be aware that when you are using your Echo Auto you are using your cell phone plan,
So you will be using your plan minutes, maybe or maybe not that makes a difference to depending on your plan.
You will also be using your data to make calls to the internet. i.e. make commands of Alexa so that she can reach the cloud to come back to give you a response.
So just be aware that when you are using your Echo Auto you are using your cell phone plan, whereas at home of course, your devices are attached to your home internet, alright?

1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
