Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1272
Hey, hey. Teri here. Happy Friday. And, I want to tell you about one more update that Amazon announced at the Alexa Live event recently.
At least one more for this week. And this is Device Discovery. You may have noticed that sometimes when you have smart home devices, Alexa is able to detect these and start to pair them with your system automatically.
Well, Amazon made the point of saying that the availability of this device discovery function is going to be expanding for device makers, which means that we as consumers, as the customers, as the users of Alexa, are going to be able to have more seamless integration of our smart home devices, in that Alexa will be able to discover more of these more often and more efficiently and hopefully with less headache.

So, that’s definitely a good thing as far as I’m concerned. And, I look forward to seeing how different manufacturers incorporate that with their own smart home devices.
So, look for that, as you add more smart home devices, it should be easier to get them set up with your voice system in your home. Alright. Alright.

1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
