Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1253
Hey, Teri here, hope you’re having a great Sunday.
Sunday’s a day, we typically like to answer questions from the community but today I want to point out a fantastic tip provided by Cathie Althuizen , I believe I said your name right, I hope I did in our Facebook group and if you’re not part of the Facebook group, please feel free to join it at VoiceinCanada.ca/Community.
This is a great idea with regards to making phone calls with with Alexa and I’m just going to simply read her tip because this is fantastic.
It says, “I created a routine named Phone My Cell with a voice prompt, call my cell, I created a custom action phone and then the phone number and so when I say Echo, call my cell, it actually worked. You could for example, have a routine where your grandson says, Alexa, call grandpa.”
This week is a huge week with lots of events coming on the deck here
So I love this is a great, great routine because it allows you to create your own custom command for calling whoever you want.
So again, you create that custom routine with a voice prompt, making it whatever you want it to be so called grandpa, call my cell, call whatever and then you create a custom action, which is essentially phoning that phone number, love it.
