Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #990

Hello, and welcome to Crack the Code day number one.

It’s Teri Fisher here and I’m so excited to be launching this contest right now, right here today, which is going to be running for the next 10 days.

If you have played this before, then you know what this is all about if you haven’t welcome and let me explain to you a little bit about it.

Now, I gotta say, right off the bat, I do have a little bit of information to cover here to explain how this all works.

So this flash briefing is a little bit longer than I normally have my flash briefings, so I appreciate your understanding in that regard.

Normally, I try to keep my flash briefings at around two minutes, but this one is going to be a few minutes longer than that bear with me, I think it’s gonna be worth it.

Alright, so let’s get to this, what is Crack the Code? Well, Crack the Code is a gamified flash briefing.

I first did this when I had my 500th flash briefing episode, which is now 500 episodes ago, almost, because the whole reason that I’m launching this Crack the Code episode of the contest is because in 10 days, on November 14, we are going to hit the 1000s flash briefing of Voice in Canada.

And before I do anything else, I need to say thank you, to you, thank you to every single one of you, the listeners, Northern voice, you are the best and you have supported this flash briefing since it started.

And I really, really appreciate that, thank you so much for being a part of the community and for all of your support over the last couple of years.

Now, let me explain how the game works, each day for the next 10 days, I am going to be giving you some type of clue, or there’ll be some type of question or there’ll be some type of riddle for you to solve in the flash briefing.

Now, some days they may be a little bit easier, some days, they may be a little bit more challenging, but they will always be there, there will be one clue every single day for the next 10 days.

If you think that you can figure out the answer to that clue to that riddle, then what you do is you go to the Alexa skill, Crack the Code and you simply say those words, “Alexa, open Crack the Code”.

And once you do that, Alexa will talk to you and you can see if you solve the riddle, and talk to Alexa.

If you were successful in solving that riddle of the day, Alexa is going to give you one piece of a final code.

And if you can do that every day for the next 10 days, you will end up with 10 pieces, you then put those pieces together and you have the final code and then you talk to Alexa through that same skill, Crack the Code and if you’re right, you’ll know you will have cracked the code.

Then what happens Alexa will tell you how you can enter to win the grand prize package worth over $2,000.

Keep in mind that at any point if you need to listen to other flash briefings, or you missed one or you want to hear it again, you can always go to the website AlexainCanada.ca/CracktheCode and that is where there is tons of information about this contest.

It shows all the prizes, and it’s got a player there where you can listen to any of the flash briefings that you may have missed.

Now, let’s get to the prizes because this is really really exciting, I am so pleased we have an amazing group of people, companies that have sponsored this contest and have donated really a remarkable prize package.

So let’s get right to that, first off, we have donated by Attention Live, The Ring Always Home Cam.

You may have heard about this in the news, this is the new camera that is a drone that flies around your home when you’re not there and it can respond to noises.

This actually is not even available yet but Attention Live have promised that the winner of this contest is going to get one of these as soon as it is available, so that is the first prize.

The second prize donated by Vixen Labs and thank you to Vixen Labs for this is the Amazon Echo Show 10.

This is the brand new Echo Show that has a base that turns and can swivel and it can follow you when you are speaking to it.

Crack the Code 1000 Day 1

Again, as soon as this is available, you will receive one of these courtesy of Vixen Labs.

I want to give a shout out to Dabba Lab, they also have donated an Echo device in this case, the Amazon Echo Buds and so, yes, the grand prize winner is going to be getting all these things and more.

Donated by Speak to Web you will get a Blue Snowball iCE microphone as well as a one year subscription to a plugin that allows you to include voice in your website in a very, very simple way.

You will get either the voice assistant or the voice shopping WordPress plugin, a one year plugin so thanks to Speak to Web.

As well, thank you to Voice Flow, Voice Flow is going to donate a one year pro license to their platform.

Their platform makes it very easy to develop your very own voice skills, and then get them out there, to Alexa and into Google and so on.

So, Voice Flow thank you to the team there very, very much appreciated.

As well, the winner is going to receive a futurist legacy avatar courtesy of HereAfter.

What is that? it is a package that allows you to preserve the voice and the stories of a loved one, after they have passed on incredible technology and I want to thank HereAfter so very much for this donation.

As well I’m going to be donating a t-shirt of Voice is my OS t-shirt in the color of your choice another thing that I know has been very popular and it’s my pleasure to give you that as well.

Now, even if you don’t manage to Crack the Code, you still can be in the running for a participation prize, just simply for participating in this flash briefing, going to the website, AlexainCanada.ca/CracktheCode and entering the contest.

Of those people that participate, you will be in a draw for an Amazon Echo Show simply for participating in this contest.

For those of you that do Crack the Code, then you will be in the running for the participation prize, of course and also there will be a draw of those that do Crack the Code for everything else that I’ve mentioned the entire prize package.

Now, the other thing I should mention is when you go to that website, AlexainCanada.ca/CracktheCode, you will see that to enter you reserve your seat for The Voice Den and I’ll tell you why about that in a moment.

Once you have reserved your seat for The Voice Den then it opens up a whole bunch of other ways that you can earn bonus entries into the draws.

And so you can do any of the challenges that it says there and once you do that, you will increase your odds of winning by getting those bonus entries.

Now I mentioned The Voice Den, why is that relevant to this? Well, because the 1000 flash briefing on November 14, coincides with The Voice Den party and I did that purposely because The Voice Den party, that one is going to be the celebration of the 1,000th flash briefing and that is where I am going to announce the winner of the grand prize of this contest.

So that is why it is so important that you reserve your spot for The Voice Den and like I said, once you do it on that website that I mentioned, that will open up all the other entries that you can participate in to increase the chances of you winning.

The Voice Den has been a tremendous success and we’re now into our seventh session and it’s absolutely wonderful to be able to host that show and I thought it was a really nice way to bring things together.

And it’s really amazing that so much has happened with The Voice Den in such a short amount of time.

In fact, when I think back, I wonder what month The Voice Den launched, do you any idea what month did the voice den launch?

Anyway, I do want to give you one quick little tip here, one little freebie tip and that is throughout the entire contest for these next 10 days, remember this, there are no numbers in the answers to the puzzles, or the clues are the riddles that I give you.

That’s right, there are no numbers, every single answer is a word, a combination of words, something to do with letters, but there are no numbers, so I’ll make that very clear now, alright.

Well, I think I’m going to stop there, if you’ve been listening closely, then you may have already picked up on what you need to do to solve today’s clue.

How fun hunting for that, the first clue is out there, have fun with Crack the Code and if you need that website again, it’s AlexainCanada.ca/CracktheCode.

And hey, have fun I’ll talk to you again tomorrow with Clue Number two.
