Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #987

Hello there, Teri here, happy November.

Hope you remember to put your clocks back an hour or well, you missed out on an hour sleep.

Anyway, hope you’re doing well hope you had a great Halloween and it’s Sunday, so that means we’re going to highlight a question from the community.

This is more of a comment and I think a lot of people are in the same position, so I’d love to share this with you.

This is from our Facebook page, which you can access at AlexainCanada.ca/Community.

And this is from Rose and she says she’s new with Echo devices, she got her first device in Echo Dot, and unfortunate someone stole it from outside her door.

So she received the replacement yesterday and she set it up and she said it’s a little more complicated than she was expecting.

Hopefully, she’ll get everything figured out soon, however, her kids love it and so rose, I just want to share with you some thoughts on this, yes, it can be a little bit overwhelming when you first get your device.

I love that we had a bunch of people in the community share their comments about this.

Wayne said, yeah, it should hook up automatically, if you have an Amazon account with all your information.

The only thing needed is your router password, and only for the first item, ie your .Rose after that everything you buy should be automatically registered.

And rose said well she’s having, you know, some challenges with figuring out what you can say in the skills.

then you can enter to win a prize package worth over $2,000.

Command List for Alexa

So first of all, our Facebook group, Northern voice, you guys are awesome and thank you for helping Rose to figure this out.

From my perspective, Rose, I’m not sure if you’re aware but if you go to AlexainCanada.ca/Commands, that gives you a list it’s certainly not a complete list anymore at the time, that was pretty a comprehensive list it still is but it’ll give you lots of ideas of things that you can do.

So that’s one thing and the other thing is, of course, I’m just tuning in to this flash briefing, I do try to give you a tip every day that can help you out, so I hope that is helpful for your Rose.

Now I want to finish off by saying that we are in the final three day countdown to the flash briefing game, Crack the Code.

And if you’ve played before, you know what this is, if you haven’t played before, all you do is you simply listen to this flash briefing starting November 4.

And every single day, for the next 10 days I will be providing some type of riddle or puzzle for you to solve.

And if you can solve it, you simply go to the skill, Crack the Code, and you talk to the skill and you see if you can solve the puzzles.

And if you can do that, for the 10 days, you will get all the pieces that you need to solve the final code and then you can enter to win a prize package worth over $2,000.

So that starting in three days, I hope you will tune in for that I’m really excited about it and until then, well have a wonderful day and I will talk to you again tomorrow.
