Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #809
Hey there, how are you doing?
It’s Teri Fisher here with your flash briefing for today, and I want to tell you about a new feature that Amazon is launching.
And I have to admit, I have not tried this myself, so if any of you do try this, please get back to me.
But this is the report, I was reading this on a website some of you may be familiar with this website, Mobile Syrup.
It’s a Canadian website, a tech website and what they’re reporting is that Amazon is adding a free tier to its music streaming specifically so that people with Alexa can take advantage of this without having to purchase a Spotify account or without having to subscribe to Amazon prime if you haven’t done that because those, by the way, are options as far as streaming your music.
But again, what they’re reporting in this article is that now you have the option of using an “Amazon Music Free free Tier.”
You have the option of using a free tier.
And this will allow you to now listen to music that Amazon is streaming, for example, you could say, I want to hear a selection of rock songs and they’ll play a rock something you can’t specifically select which song you want, so that’s the catch.
And apparently there are going to be ads in it, but if you don’t mind not choosing the song, you just want to hear a particular genre and you don’t mind the occasional ad in between the songs, then this may be an option for you because then you’re not paying for it.
So that’s out there if anybody tries this and it works for them, I’d love to hear about it.
Like I said, I have not tried this one myself but I thought it was very interesting and I wanted to share it with you.
I personally do have a prime account, so it wouldn’t be necessarily that important to me but anyway, there it is.

Listen on your Echo Device! Easy as 1-2-3!
1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
