Hey, hey Teri here with your flash briefing for Sunday and on Sunday we like to answer questions from the community.
Today’s question is all about doorbells, so what is the doorbell live view with Alexa?
Well, here’s I mean, this is what it is in a nutshell, really when you set up your device with a smart doorbell, then when the doorbell is pressed, Alexa can announce that somebody is at the front door, or whatever door it is, and can show you the camera of what is being seen at the front door so you know who is there.
So essentially, you get a live feed of the camera on your Echo devices, if you’re streaming music, Alexa will pause so that you can then have a look at the camera.
So this live view is supported on Echo Show devices, the Echo Spot as well as the Fire TV.
And the audio is muted on the doorbell and the device by default, so to turn on the audio, you would actually tap the mic icon on the screen or you would say talk to the front door, for example that’s where your doorbell is.
