Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #771

Hello there, Dr. Teri Fisher here with your flash briefing for Monday and I know we’re all cooped up inside.

And I wanted to look at ways that we could use Alexa to keep us a little bit more entertained.

And here is a very interesting way that you can do so if you are interested in singing and here’s what you can do, you can actually use Alexa as a karaoke machine.

The catch to this is that you have to be using the Amazon music in order for this to work, but if you are using Amazon music, it works automatically.

Basically when you tell Alexa to play a song and you’re using Amazon music as your default music player, then when it plays the song, it shows the words on the screen.

You can actually use Alexa as a karaoke machine.

Now, if you’re not using Amazon music as your default player as I don’t actually, I use Spotify, you can still use this by simply then requesting that Alexa play the song using Amazon music.

So, for example, you could say, “Alexa play title of song by artist on Amazon music” and then it will work and then you can sing along to your heart’s content.

So hopefully that gives you something a little bit fun for you to try while you’re inside and it is entertaining.

I have to say, I had some fun playing with this with my kids yesterday and we sang a bunch of songs with the lyrics on the screen.

So enjoy, hope you’re doing well, stay safe and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
