Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #656

Hey there. How are you doing today on this Friday? Today I want to share with you a little bit of research that just came out of VoiceBot.ai.

I was very fortunate to be asked to appear on their webinar, specifically about voice technology and smart speakers.

And, one of the most interesting stats that came out of their research was that nearly 52% of people would like to use voice assistants for healthcare uses, but only 7.5%, and I have to admit, this is in the United States, but only 7.5% of US consumers have used voice assistants like Alexa for healthcare.

Only 7.5% of US consumers have used voice assistants like Alexa for healthcare.

Amazon Alexa for Healthcare?

So why is that? And, are you part of the 52% that would like to use it? Personally, I think the issue is just that, because healthcare is such a risk averse sector, that there are relatively fewer skills that are available, and particularly really, really useful skills that can tap into personal health information.

But on the other hand, I find it very encouraging that, essentially more than half of people want to use it, want to use these devices for healthcare. I am very curious. How do you feel about that?

Please hit me up on Twitter @DrTeriFisher, and let me know. If you could, would you use Alexa for your healthcare use cases? Let me know. Talk to you later.
