Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #629

Happy Saturday. Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend, and let’s talk some more commands today for Alexa.

Some fun things that you can say. Today I’ve got quite a practical one for you.

I don’t know if it’s these ones that are going to make you laugh, but I will tell you a couple of things that you can say to Alexa that she is able to respond to.

One of them is, if you are interested in one of the new devices that have come out, you can actually ask Alexa to give you a quick little brief summary of what they are.

So for example, you could say, “Alexa, tell me about the new Echo Dot with clock” or “Tell me about the new Echo Studio”, and she gives you just a couple of sentences with the pertinent facts about each one of those products.

You can also say to Alexa, “Alexa, what time is it in…?”, and you name a place.

So, I’m in Vancouver and I want to know what it is in Toronto, “Alexa, what time is in Toronto?”, and she will tell you that. You can choose other countries as well.

Hopefully, those ones make your life a little bit more easy.

Amazon Alexa Easter Egg Commands 73

You can also say, “Alexa, what time does a particular store open?” Now, the sample or the example that Amazon gives, of course, is Whole Foods cause they own WholeFoods.

You could say, “Alexa, what time does Whole Foods open?”, and you can find out, you know, when your favorite stores are open. And, I think I’ll give you one more practical one.

And this one is, you can ask, “Alexa, what are the top rated things on Amazon?” So again, the example that Amazon gives is a baking sheet.

So if you wanna know what are the top rated ones, simply ask. You say, “Alexa, what is the top rated baking sheet?”, and it will tell you, and it will also show you in your app a picture of it, and a link to the object.

So there you go. Hopefully, those ones make your life a little bit more easy. A little bit of practical commands there today, and I will talk to you again tomorrow.
