Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #748

Hey there, Dr. Teri Fisher here and it’s Saturday.

What does that mean? It’s a day that we highlight some things that you can say to Alexa as we have been doing for many, many weeks now.

So if you do want to hear those other command episodes, you just go to VoiceinCanada.ca and you can hear them right there.

So today I want to give you two different things that you can say and they both have the word good in it.

And I think we all need some good news these days with all the craziness with the Corona virus in particular going around.

Just so you know, I just launched my own Alexa skill called Coronavirus Doc, which gives you some basic but generalized information.

If you want to learn a little bit more about the Coronavirus, you can check that out.

But today, here are two things that you can say to Alexa with the word good in it.

Things that you can say to Alexa with the word good in it.

Amazon Alexa Commands 89

The first one’s pretty simple, just, “Alexa, good morning” and typically what will happen is when you say that Alexa will give you a little bit of information about that day, whatever day you say it on, and it’s what’s different every day.

So it’s kinda nice, it tells you a little bit about, I don’t know, what happened on this day in history or something interesting about the particular day.

And the other one, and this is where we get to the good news, is simply you can ask Alexa for good news.

You can say, “Alexa, tell me some good news” and she will generally tell you a nice heartwarming story, which can you know, be really nice when we hear a lot of the bad news that’s going around in the world today.

So, check it out, enjoy your Saturday, enjoy your weekend and remember that there is a contest going on right now to help me design the logo for my new website, Dr. Teri Fisher.

If you want to check that out, you just go to a AlexainCanada.ca/LogoContest.

Alright, have a great day, have a great weekend. Talk to you tomorrow.
