Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1383
Hello, hello. Teri here. Hope you’re doing well. It’s Thursday. Welcome back to the flash briefing.
Today I want to tell you about something that was recently announced as well by the Amazon team. Very interesting.
This is the ability to use your Alexa devices, or your Alexa app for that matter, to print out things.
Now, this has been available in the United States for a while, but as of November 18th, Amazon announced the launch of a service called Alexa Print in Canada.
What this is is a way to print your lists, your recipes, games, educational content using voice commands.
So, this works with second-generation Echo devices or newer, and a number of, here are the technical terms. Get ready; IPP Enabled Compatible Printers.
So that includes brands such as HP, Brother, Canon, and Epson.

So, here’s how you figure out if your printer will work with this new Alexa print function. You simply say, “Alexa, discover my printer”
Make sure your printer is on. And if it has to be in any type of pairing mode, then make sure that it is on the pairing mode as well.
You can also do the same thing through your Alexa app by going to “Adding devices.” But essentially, the voice command is, “Alexa, discover my printer.”
And once you can do that, and if it pairs successfully, then you can use it to print out those various things that I talked about.

Listen on your Echo Device! Easy as 1-2-3!
1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
