Hello, Teri here with your flash briefing for Wednesday, and today I’ve got some news about an integration between Alexa and Telus.

So if you subscribe to Telus Optik TV, there is now a built-in integration.

So let me tell you about this now I don’t have TELUS so I can’t test this out personally if any of you have tested this out, then I’d love your feedback again, as usual, just hit me up on Twitter at DrTeriFisher.

Here’s the report, so apparently as of September 9, Telus launched Alexa integration including the video skill kit and a smart home skill and so that allows those people to control their Telus Optik TV by voice via their Echo device.

So as you would expect, you can search for shows you can control your TV volume, you can change channels, and this is all done through Alexa.

So pretty cool that a major company like Telus is integrating Alexa directly into their software so that you can now control their services by Alexa.
