Alexa Conversations in Canada

Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1276

Hey, hey. Teri here. Alright. Here is the latest announcement from Alexa Live. And this one is specific to Canada, which is great.

You may have heard of something called Alexa Conversations… Alexa Conversations.

And this is a very advanced way that developers can design their skills to have more natural-sounding conversations.

Alexa Conversations basically is a deep learning-based approach to dialogue management.

And again, it enables the developers to create natural human-like voice experiences. So you can change your mind on things.

So, a good example is, you know, somebody’s ordering a pizza, and they change their mind in the middle of the order, you know, make that a large instead of a medium, Alexa’s able to respond to that.

We are going to be seeing more and more skills that allow this natural conversation to have with Alexa

And there are so many other aspects to this, that would actually be a little bit too long to get into just in this short flash briefing.

But the point of this particular flash briefing is to let you know that this technology, Alexa Conversations, has been expanded now to include all English locales, and of course, that includes Canada.

It wasn’t available here previously. So this is very exciting. We are going to be seeing more and more skills that allow this natural conversation to have with Alexa.

So I will keep you updated when I become aware of specific skills that incorporate this later technology of natural conversations.

And, I look forward to trying that out as I hope you will too. So I’ll be in touch with you about those in the near future.

2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
