Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1367

Hey there. Teri here. Happy Tuesday. Hope you’re doing well.

If you tuned in to yesterday’s flash briefing, you would have heard me speak about an accessibility option known as screen magnifier.

By the way, you can always enable that option by saying, “Alexa, turn on screen magnifier.”

Today I want to tell you about a different accessibility option, which is another really fantastic one, I believe.

And this is about turning on captions. Very cool, because now if you’re not sure what Alexa said, you can actually read the caption on the screen.

How do you do this? Very simply. You simply say, “Alexa, turn on Alexa captions” And obviously substitute the right word in the place of Alexa.

And then you will have the captions on the screen of things that you say or ask questions about.

If you’re not sure what Alexa said, you can actually read the caption on the screen

Now, if you want to turn it off. It’s also very simple. You simply say, “Alexa turn off Alexa captions.” And there you go. As simple as that.

It’s really great and it works very well, by the way. I tried this out, and I think it works excellent. So, there you go.

Again, a reminder, tomorrow is The Voice Den, The Happy Hour of Voice. It is session 19. We’ve got four fantastic guests.

I’ll tell you a little more about them tomorrow. Needless to say, these are people that are leaders in voice technology.

And as always, the episode is sponsored by Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It is entirely free.

I encourage you to check us out. It starts tomorrow on November 17, Wednesday at 5 pm Pacific. You just go to TheVoiceDen.com for your free seat.

Alright! See you there, and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
