Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1083
Hey, hey how are you doing? It is Friday and here is your flash briefing.
So have you ever wished that you could control Alexa’s volume so that she would speak a little bit louder or a little bit softer at different times of the day?
Well, I want to share a little tip with you to help you do that all automatically.
So here’s the scenario, at least in my home, at a certain time at night, I would love for Alexa’s volume to go down so that if I’m speaking with her, and I’m not using the whisper command, she’ll respond in a more quiet tone.
And then in the morning, when I wake up, and I’m speaking with her, I want it to be a little bit more loud, so that I can hear if I’m across the room or getting ready, or whatever the case may be.
This is how you can do it all automatically and this is the power of the routines.
So what you do is you go into your Alexa app, and then once you’re in there, you’re going to hit the More icon in the bottom right corner.

Then you’re going to see routines, you click on that, and then you want to add a routine.
So you click on the plus button and enter a routine name, so let’s say you’re gonna just call it volume.
So then you click next, and then you click on the when this happens, so that’s the trigger, and you change it to schedule, and then you choose whatever time you want to adjust the volume.
Once you’ve done that, you’re going to click on the Add action button and then you’re going to click on Device Settings, you click on volume, and you simply adjust the volume.
And then if you want to have Alexa change the volume at a different time of day, then you just create another routine for that particular time of day and there you go.
And now you’ve got Alexa automatically changing the volume at specific times of the day and you never have to worry about if she’s speaking too loudly or too softly.
Hope you have a wonderful day and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
