Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #722

Hello everybody and welcome to the flash briefing for Monday.

I’m really excited about this flash briefing, and this one is really coming straight from the heart.

It’s a little bit longer than normal, and you’ll see why.

But, what I want to do today, is I want to tell you about something that I have been thinking about doing for quite some time, and it is all about how you can support the work that I am doing if you want to, and I want to stress that.

This is a completely optional thing. It is not expected by any stretch of the imagination.

What I do with my flash briefing, with my podcast, with the Northern Voice community and everything, I do it as a service to you.

However, I have had some people ask me how they can support this, and I have decided to start what’s known as a Patreon account.

And this is where you have the option, if you’d like, of contributing a very small monthly amount. And, it really can be any amount that you like.

And, today I want to play a short clip, it’s a couple of minutes long, from Trish Uhl.

She has been a long time supporter of the brand, and she has recorded this really as a testimonial of her thoughts behind what I have been doing, what she has thought of doing in terms of supporting me, and to be perfectly honest, I’m not a crier by any stretch of imagination, but when I heard this testimonial, it almost brought tears to my eyes. Anyway, as I said, this is coming straight from the heart.

You know, my work takes me around the globe working with corporate training teams to engineer learning solutions that help people develop their skills in using data analytics and modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence, chatbots, and even voice. It’s the work that I do that aligns to my mission. Which is to equip and empower those who equip and empower others, and that’s how I found Teri. It was by executing on my mission that I discovered Teri’s work. You see, it was about 18 months ago, and I was eager to set up my first Amazon skill to take advantage of this powerful communications platform, by launching my own flash briefing. And I started looking around online for people to model after. I was delighted to discover Teri’s Voice in Canada flash briefing, was not only very appreciative of his leadership, but immediately hooked on his content. As good as his content is, it’s really Teri’s kindness, warmth, and enthusiasm though that has made me a daily listener. 

Maybe you’re like me, but I think the world could use more of Teri’s kind of positivity right now. And that’s why so glad to be a beneficiary of not only Teri’s many Alexa tips and tricks, but also of Teri’s many acts of service. In fact, Teri’s whole hearted and generous spirit given so freely with his abundant contributions to our community have inspired me to become one of Teri’s first patrons. I know artists and pioneers like Teri have been supported by patrons throughout the ages. We know from history that patronage has aided many great human explorations, endeavors, creations, and treasures throughout time. And I think we’re on the cusp of another of those wonderous times right now. And so I have committed financial support to Teri’s efforts by making a small monthly investment to help him continue to bring value to our growing global community. Now, of course, providing financial support may not be an option for everyone. And that said, I know that there are many ways to be of service, whether that’s lending a hand, volunteering time, donate a resource, or using your voice to raise awareness and to educate. These are just to name a few. But there are loads of ways for all of us to be active participants. And I would encourage everyone listening today to find what works best for them. Because I know together we can help each other build skills, thrive, and see to it that this community continues to flourish. And I really think that’s super, super important. And so, Teri, I want you to know that I really appreciate you. I’m grateful for you and this community that you have started, and that you’ve elevated, and in this way that you have brought all of us together. Thank you so much for everything that you do. It’s through your voice that we’re equipped and empowered to find our own.”

Wow, Trish that’s unbelievable and every time I hear that like it sends chills down my spine. I mean, this is what I started the community for.
