Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #710
Hey there and welcome to the flash briefing for today.
Today, I want to give you a little tip, something that I discovered can be very useful when you are trying to speak to Alexa at night, and you don’t want to wake anybody up.
See, here’s the thing. I was talking to Alexa, I don’t even remember what I was saying, it was… what time is it, or set an alarm?
And when Alexa talked back to me, she was quite loud, and I was concerned that was going to wake up my wife.
Well, here’s a little tip that you can do, so that you never ever have this problem. And that’s create a very, very simple routine.
And, what you do is simply this. You go into the Alexa, you go to your settings, you go to routines, and then you set a routine based on a time.
So let’s say at as of nine o’clock at night, you don’t want Alexa to be too loud.
So at nine o’clock, you set it that the volume goes down to say volume three.
And then, if you want, you can also set another routine when the volume goes up at a certain time in the morning when you want it to be more loud.
Here’s a little tip that you can do so that you never ever have this problem.
So, that’s a very simple way that regardless of what day of the week it is, at a certain time the volume always goes down, and at a certain time in the morning the volume goes back up. try that out and see what you think.
Now, the other thing I want to do is, I haven’t done this in a while.
I want to give a shout out to somebody that left a review for the flash briefing.
This actually dates back to January 31st, 2019, and I just have been so busy with so many things going on, I haven’t had a chance to do this.
So this review came from Jeremy and he gave it five stars and he said, “A fantastic resource for Canadian users. If you would like to stay on top of what is new in Canada OF Alexa, you need this flash briefing. New content, updated daily with a focus on the smart revolution in Canada. A truly valuable resource.”
Thanks so much, Jeremy. I really appreciate that as I do all of the reviews, and if anybody else would like to leave a review, you simply go to VoiceinCanada.ca, and you’ll see a red button there right in the middle of the screen.
Alright, have a great day. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
