Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #497
Hello, I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend. It’s Teri here with your Sunday flash briefing, and on Sundays, I like to answer questions from our AIC Nation Community.
The community can always be accessed, at least the Facebook community, at a… I forgot how to spell Alexa there for a moment, AlexainCanada.ca/Community.
Alright, and today, I’ve got a question that I want to highlight, and this came from Christine Dupui Holleran, and she asked, “Any tips on keeping an Echo outside?”
And, this is probably going to be a very popular question this time of year, now with the weather being nice, you want to listen to music, there are a couple of ways that you can do it.
One is that you can simply just plug it in outside and make sure that it’s under a soffit or something where it’s not going to get, you know, disrupted.
Eric Goslin posted a picture and a little video of his outside covered in snow and working just fine from the winter. So that’s one option.

Another option is to get a battery pack for your Echo device, and simply just carry it outside when you go outside, and you can bring it back in when you don’t need it outside. So that’s another one.
And then another option is to connect it to a Bluetooth speaker so that the speaker is outside, and that way you can listen to things in such a way.
And so, I want to give a shout out to everybody that, you know, gave some input for this question to help answer it.
In particular, I want to say thanks to, for sure, to Eric Goslin who posted that video, Lisa Hornet Gooding, as well as Shawn Michael McKay, and there were other people that commented, they were interested in the answer for this question.
So, there you go, I hope that you find that helpful. Alright, we are now at episode 497. AIC Nation, get ready for some fun, get ready to win some prizes. You’re going to have to earn them.
This is going to be something a little different. To my knowledge, nobody has ever done what we’re about to do on this flash briefing, so it’s going to be a lot of fun.
Make sure that you are sharing this around and get ready to listen to the Voice in Canada on July 3rd. That will be episode 500.
