Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #51

Today’s podcast is a good one, if you have ever thought about what goes into making an Alexa skill and how to do it, this episode is absolutely for you.

Today I interview Vasily Shinker Ranka and he is the co founder and CEO of storyline.

Now, storyline is a platform, that allows anyone to build Alexa skills and the really key thing here is that you do not have to know how to code.

You do not have to be a programmer. This basically is dragon drop and if you imagine like a flow chart where you say something and then Alexa responds, and then you draw an Arrow to the next thing that you say or the next response that Alexa gives you.

That’s basically how this works, is basically a graphical interface and so vasily comes on today.

He talks about his background, what went into making storyline, some of the success that he’s having with storyline in this very early stage of this platform and the power of it and also a little bit about the future and what he has plans for storyline in the next little while.

The really key thing here is that you do not have to know how to code.

Storyline

It’s a great platform. I’ve tried it with my son. We’ve made some skills ourselves, so I can vouch to the fact that it is very easy to use.

And like I said, if you have any interest in how do you go about creating skills, I can promise you that if you check out storyline, you know, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

So head on over to the podcast. It’s episode 21. You’ll find that @AlexainCanada.ca/21.

And if you end up making a skill, please leave a comment on that page, on the show notes page, because I want to hear about it.

What Canadian skills can we make from storyline and feature each other’s skills on that page. Talk to you soon.
