Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #399
Hello and welcome to the flash briefing for Sunday. As you know, on Sunday I really like to answer questions from the community. And, today’s flash briefing is again, a question that I’m answering from the Facebook community and you can always join that community at AlexainCanada.ca/Community.
Now this one comes from Phil Farren, and he asks, “Does anyone know how to get my sports update for my selected teams added to either my flash briefing or my start my day routine?”
Well, Phil, I’ve got some bad news for you. You can’t, at least not as of yet. For those of you that aren’t familiar with what Phil’s referring to when you go into your settings, you can actually go into your sports settings, and choose your favorite teams.
And then, when you ask for your sports updates, Alexa will tell you the relevant information about those particular teams. So if they’re playing, what was the score of their last game and so on. It would be very cool if you could add that to a routine, but you can’t, unfortunately.
You could subscribe to a flash briefing that is about your favorite team.
When you go in to set up your routines, there simply isn’t an option to have the sports update there. Now, you could subscribe to a flash briefing that is about your favorite team, and that’s one way to kind of get around it.
That’d be a little bit of a hack, but unfortunately, to answer the question, you can’t really do that yet. Hopefully, that will come online soon, and that would be a great feature. So there you go, Phil. Can’t do it yet.
You have to find another way around it, either ask specifically for your sports routine or subscribe to a flash where you’re going to get that information. Okay? Hope that was helpful. 1. Open your Alexa app and click on the Menu button > Settings > Flash Briefing.
2. Click on “Add Content” and search for “Voice in Canada”.
3. Click on “Voice in Canada” and the Enable button.
