Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1349
Hey, hey. Teri here. Hope you’re doing well. Hope your Friday is off to a great start. I’ve got an announcement to share with you today.
Something that Amazon had recently announced with regards to their Music Unlimited subscribers.
It’s simply this. Amazon Music Unlimited users can now stream spatial audio on any pair of headphones. So first of all, what is spatial audio?
Spatial audio is an experience where not only do you hear sound in stereo, but it is actually placed at a particular point in space.
So, for example, if you’re listening to a band live, you may hear the drums on the left side of the stage.
And you may hear a lead guitarist on the right side of the stage. But with spatial audio, you actually experience that when you’re listening to it.
So coming back to where we’re at, Amazon says that you can now listen in spatial audio to their music. Now, here’s the part that’s not clear to me.
Is it available in Canada? I do not know that. I’ve been trying to research it and I haven’t been able to test it.
And I would love to know if anybody has tested this if it is available in Canada.
Amazon says that you can now listen in spatial audio to their music
Currently, Amazon supports two types of spatial audio. Sony’s reality audio and Dolby Atmos. So, this is really interesting.
If you haven’t experienced spatial audio, then I encourage you to check out The Voice Den. The Voice Den is the monthly event that I put on.
And then after the online event, we go into the augmented reality space where the whole environment is spatial audio so you can hear people in different areas of the room.
By the way, you can check out and reserve your free seat at TheVoiceDen.com. Now, what’s interesting is.
When we start using Alexa to control our music subscriptions and then being able to use Alexa to control our spatial audio environment.
So, having said all that. I think it’s really exciting. I think this is where the future is going with regard to audio. Again, is it available here?
Unfortunately, I cannot tell you that. But if anybody knows, and you’ve tested this out, please let all of us know and hit me up on Twitter @Dr.TeriFisher, and I will be happy to share that with the rest of our community.
Alright. Hope your week is winding up well, and I’ll talk to you again tomorrow. Take care
