Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #1216
Hey there, Teri here with your flash briefing for Friday and today I want to tell you about another featured routine.
We talked a little bit about one of these earlier this week, but again, a routine is something that you can say to Alexa or trigger with a certain time and then Alexa goes through a whole series of commands.
So it makes things really simple, if you go into your Alexa app, and you click on the bottom right icon More and then go to routines.
You’ll see at the top of that screen, you then have the option to click on featured and the one I want to tell you about today is the I’m Getting a Snack One and you can enable that by clicking on it and then clicking enable.
So using those two simple commands, you’re all set take a break, grab your snack, sit back down and away you go.
What it does is it pauses your Fire TV and turns on your smart light, so basically, you can, you know, interrupt take an intermission from your TV watching.
It pauses it, you set up the smart light to go on, and then you can go grab a snack, and then it’s got a second routine that says I’m back, and what that does is when you grab your snack, you sit down and you say Alexa I’m back, and it turns off that smart light and resumes the Fire TV.
So using those two simple commands, you’re all set, take a break, grab your snack, sit back down and away you go.
So those are just you know, very two simple really examples of routines, I always love to hear routines that you have.
