Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #901
Hey there, how are you doing it’s Teri Fisher here and I’ve got a very practical tip for you today.
It has to do with timers, as you may know, timers are one of the most often used features when it comes to Amazon Alexa and its very simple.
Timers, of course, you just set by simply saying that “Alexa set a two-minute timer” or “a five-minute timer”, “a three-second timer,” whatever you want.
You can also give those timers names, so if you have multiple timers going, you can say for example, “Alexa set a pasta timer for three minutes”.
The tip I want to give you today is that if you find that for whatever reason you want to extend your timer, so you’ve set a timer for, I don’t know, five minutes.
Great little feature as well, that allows you to extend it rather than for example, cancel the timer.
And then you realize, oh, the pasta needs a few more minutes, you can use that phrase, you can say, “Alexa, extend the timer” or “extend the pastor timer by blank”, two minutes, three minutes, whatever you want.
And then Alexa will do that and she will tell you, approximately what is the total length of time that you have left on the timer?
So I think that’s a really great little feature as well, that allows you to extend it rather than for example, cancel the timer and start a new timer.
So there you go, simple tip practical tip today, hope that’s useful to you.
And I hope you’re having a wonderful day and I will talk to you again tomorrow.
