Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #831

Hello, hello, it’s Teri here and today I’ve got a really fun thing that you can do with Alexa to surprise someone else, particularly during this time when we are all physically distancing ourselves.

It could be nice to send someone a virtual hug and you can actually do this with Alexa.

This is what you do, you simply say, “Alexa send a hug,” and then Alexa is going to ask you to whom do you want to send that hug?

Now, if you haven’t set up your ability to contact other people with Alexa, then this may be a little bit limited.

So, what you would want to do is go into your Alexa app, click on the communicate button at the bottom and then click on the three buttons at the top and then basically import your contacts.

Once you’ve done that, now you can use this hugging feature and again, you say, “Alexa send a hug”, Alexa’s going to ask you who you want to send it to.

Have some fun with that, send out those virtual hugs as much as you want.

And then that person on the receiving end is going to get a notification and then when that person asks Alexa, what are their message is, it says, you received a hug from you and it gives a nice little warm ascending tone and it’s very cute.

So, give it a try, have some fun with that, send out those virtual hugs as much as you want because a, they are a Covid_19 proof.

Alright, and finally, just before I sign off, again I want to give a shout out today, this one is to Gail.
