Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #825
Hello, welcome to the weekend, happy Saturday.
It’s Teri Fisher here with your flash briefing, and this is a really fun episode for me.
It’s a real milestone episode for me, this is, if you know, well, let me take a step back.
On Saturdays, I like to highlight different commands, different things that you can say to Alexa and I have been doing this now for a long time.
In fact, here’s the milestone, this flash briefing today is the 100th flash briefing that I have recorded on a Saturday where I cover different skills and commands.
So boy, it’s a big milestone, it’s really cool to say I’ve been doing this for a hundred Saturdays, and if I give an average of, I don’t know, two or three commands, there is now a database of, well 200 to 300 different commands that you can get access to.
If you want a list of those, they’re not all of them, but if you want to list of a lot of them, you can actually go to AlexainCanada.ca/Commands and you can see a whole bunch of them.
If you say that a couple of times, you’ll get some different responses.
The other thing you can do is go to VoiceinCanada.ca and you can scroll through all the previous flash briefings and have a look at those.
So if you want to go back and hear them, then that’s a very easy way to do that.
Let’s get to today’s, so today I want to give you a couple other different commands that you can say.
The first one is, “Alexa, entertain me” and if you say that a couple of times, you’ll get some different responses.
They did bring a smile to my face I will say that. Another thing that you can say, this is a sort of practical one, particularly when we’re at home.
I don’t know about you, but hopefully you’re remembering to work out and you can get Alexa to help you with that.
You say, “Alexa, remind me to work out every day” but then promise me you’re not going to ignore her when she gives you that reminder.
She’ll ask you what time you want to be reminded as well so that’s great.
And let’s do one other one, how about this one, “Alexa, tell me a riddle,” if you want to try to see if Alexa can stump you, that’s a fun way to do it, okay?
So there we go, the 100th Saturday flash briefing, thank you to all of you, Northern voice, for tuning in for making this what it is and boy cheers to the next 100.
Have a great Saturday, talk to you tomorrow.
