Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #787
Hello there everybody, Dr. Teri Fisher here and today’s flash briefing, well I want to tell you about something that had been planning for some time now and tell you a little bit of the details.
As I hinted yesterday, I have been, we all have, we’ve all been cooped up and I’ve been thinking about the ways that we can still have a sense of community.
And one of the things that have been popping up all over the place, are webinars and I’ve done a couple of webinars as well.
But I started thinking about this and I realized it’s time that we really changed the whole model of webinars and I wanted to do something special for the voice community.
Something special for you, for the members of Northern voice, something that you can participate in and really get to know some of the key players in the voice community.
And so after some thought, I have come up with this concept of The Voice Den and what this is is an online experience.
I’m not calling it a webinar because it’s not a webinar.
In fact, what I’ve tried to do is take out all the parts that people don’t enjoy about webinars.
So there are no lectures, there are no sort of long drawn out brain overloading sessions, there’s no boredom and there is no selling on the webinars.
It is strictly there for a way for the participants to interact, to network, to meet up and have access to some of the most influential people in the voice industry and I’m calling them The Voice Fluenzers.
And what this is going to be, it’s almost a little bit, it’s different but a little bit like Shark Tank or Dragon’s Den.
It’s an opportunity to network, to have fun and once you’ve got the stage you can ask any questions.
And what we are doing is we are inviting five key voice fluenzers onto the show onto the session of The Voice Den the first one.
And then participants are going to have the opportunity to get selected to come on live, have discussions with these mentors and then this will switch on and off for the entire duration of the session.
It’s an opportunity to network, to have fun and once you’ve got the stage you can ask any questions you want of these of these people.
So this is a whole new type of experience as far as I know it has never been done before.
The whole vibe to this is going to be come on in through the door, sit down in the voice den and speak with colleagues, friends, some of the mentors and influencers, learn have fun.
We’ll even have time for a break in there to go grab a drink and just sit down and have a great time and that’s what this is all about.
