Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #841

Hey there, hope you’re having a great day, it’s Teri Fisher here with your flash briefing from Voice in Canada.

And periodically, I do like to make these flash briefings to simply highlight you, Northern voice, and the things that you have been doing.

And recently, one of the questions that I asked you is how are you using your routines?

This came on the back of a podcast episode that I just did and by the way, if you want to get a complete guide to setting up routines, you can just go to AlexainCanada.ca/Routines and you’ll see that there.

Anyway, I do want to shout out one of the members of Northern voice, and this is Gordon Dick, and he sent me a message on Twitter.

And he said that he didn’t realize that he could do like a single day, so he has a routine now set up for Mondays, for example, and you can set up a different routine for different days of the week, which brings a lot of power to this function.

And what he says is that he now has his set up on Mondays, so for example, when he returns to his red cross volunteer gig, starting on the 15th, so congrats to that, that’s wonderful.

He says his routine is set up to include the date, time, weather, news, traffic, and it plays the radio for an hour.

And so that’s a really wonderful way to get the day started and it brings you up to date on everything that’s going on so perfect example.

You can set up a different routine for different days of the week.

500000 Flash Briefing Listens

So thanks Gordon for sharing that if anybody else would like to share how they use their routine, then please let me know.

The other thing I want to do today is I just want to give a big shout out to you Northern voice.

Every single one of you, every single one of you that has listened to one flash briefing or all 840 odd flash briefings now, because I was looking at my statistics and we have now just reached the milestone of 500,000 times that the flash briefing has been listened to.

That just blows me away, it’s been about two and a half years and maybe even a little under two and a half years, starting from nothing when Alexa first came to Canada and this flash briefing has been listened to 500,000 times.

As you know, it’s number one, rated in Canada and I am so appreciative and so thankful for each and every one of you that have listened, like I said to any of the flash briefings and particularly if you’ve left a review as well it is you that has made this what it is, so thank you, thank you, thank you so much.

So this flash briefing, obviously as a theme, it’s really just a shout out to you, to the community, to all of you for sharing everything that you’re passionate about when it comes to Alexa and thank you.

If you are inclined to leave a review, those are always welcome and at VoiceinCanada.ca you’ll see a button to do that.

Have a wonderful, wonderful day and I’m going to talk to you tomorrow.
