Voice In Canada Flash Briefing #955
Hey there, Teri Fisher here with your flash briefing, and today, I want to tell you about an incredible deal that’s on right now on Amazon.
Now, as you know, a whole bunch of products were released or announced last week, including the Echo Dot fourth generation, which is a spherical looking Echo.
Well, Amazon obviously is trying to get rid of their third generation dots because there’s a sale on right now and I don’t know that I’ve ever actually seen it this inexpensive.
Basically, the regular price for an Echo Dot third generation is $69.99, now, it’s on sale for $54.99.
But get this, if you are a Prime subscriber, there’s an exclusive discount code that you can use and you can get two Echo Dot third generation for 50 dollars.
So they’re $25 each, that has got to be the best price I’ve ever seen on the Echo Dot. Now that code is all capitals, PRIMEDOT2PK for two-pack.
Now that is on the website, too, so don’t feel like you need to remember that when you go there, you will see that code under the description for the device.
Now, the question is, do you get this deal at $25 each when you buy two? Or do you go for the more expensive Echo Dot fourth generation, the spherical looking one, which is now $69.99?
Well, here are the main differences between the two, the obvious one is the shape.
So the Echo Dot third generation is a hockey puck, the fourth generation is a small little spherical softball shaped device, so that’s probably the most obvious difference.
the fourth generation Echo Dot the brand new one or do you grab this deal at $50 for two Echo Dots
The other difference is that the fourth generation does have a different neural processor in it.
Which means really, what that boils down to is that chances are and I haven’t seen this tested head to head yet, but chances are the fourth generation is going to be a little bit quicker when it comes to the response to your voice and you know, functioning in your smart home and that sort of thing.
So that’s the big question, those are the big features that are different and now you have to make a decision.
Is it worth it to you to hold on and get the fourth generation Echo Dot the brand new one or do you grab this deal at $50 for two Echo Dots, the third generation?
I don’t know, I think that the third generation deal is pretty good right now.
So if you want to check that out, you can simply go to AlexainCanada.ca/EchoDot that’ll take you to the fourth generation where you can have a look.
Or if you want to go and look on Amazon in general, just go to AlexainCanada.ca/Amazon and those are my affiliate links.
If you use those, I do get a small commission and I thank you very much for that, there’s no extra cost to you whatsoever.
So there you go, lots and lots of news still coming at you this week and next week.
It’s hard to even keep up with it right now, things seem to be coming up quicker than I can get up the flash briefings, but I will do my best to keep you informed.
Have a wonderful day and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
