Welcome Sat Ramphal!

Sat Ramphal Introduces the Maya App: A Virtual Business Bot for Entrepreneurs (Episode 155)

In this episode, Teri interviews Sat Ramphal. Sat is the Co-Founder and CEO of XiByte.  Sat recently launched the Maya app; a virtual business bot for entrepreneurs.

What is Maya?

Maya is a conversational bot that helps facilitate administrative tasks and navigates company operations using the power of voice. Maya listens to your goals, ideas, runs administrative tasks and provides insights on what is needed to grow your idea.

Sat Ramphal’s Entrepreneurial Journey

Failures are what led Sat to his current situation. Sat had one successful company and two companies that failed. Sat realized that the failures came from where we spent most of our time. Sat stated that “Founders spend 75% of their time doing admin tasks which in turn leaves innovation and growing the company on the back burner.” Sat believes that eradicating tasks such as business bank accounts, web services, and accounting, and taxes allows business owners more time to focus on innovating their business.

The 6-Point Algorithm

A large partner network that works with Maya helps integrate each business with a 6-point algorithm that helps identify each entrepreneur and where they should go and why.  The 6-point algorithm consists of industry, budget, size, stage, location, and trends.

How is Maya Going to Save Time and Help Entrepreneurs Be More Productive?

Maya would figure out what city you are located in and based on that, specific tasks would begin.  Entrepreneurs and business owners will be able to assign a task to Maya and all they have to do is give permission. Then Maya can help them with various tasks, such as connecting them to an attorney.

What Specific Tasks Can Maya Do for You?

There are around 1,000 tasks lined up for the future for Maya. Currently, there are about 30 tasks available that can be requested such as setting up a business structure, setting up a business bank account, automated Merchant Services that are linked to web services, technology services, linked voice services, and more.

Currently, Maya’s voice capabilities are limited.  By the end of the year, Maya’s voice capabilities will be way more enhanced.

What Has Contributed to the Success of Maya’s Partnerships?

Maya has partnered with well-known brands such as Voigt, Phone.com, Chase, Bank of America, Nova, Rocket Lawyer and is continuously creating new partnerships with major brands.

Sat stated that they are in the AI accelerator incubator in Australia, which has allowed them to build a very large partner network – some of which come from open AI.

Is Maya Still in the Startup Phase?

Currently, Maya is 15% complete and is still in the startup phase.

What’s Next with Maya?

Maya will soon be launching advanced prediction learning that will predict your success rate and tell you how to make improvements.  In addition, Maya will soon be launching a “Speak to Maya” feature.

How to Download the Maya App?

Entrepreneurs and business owners can sign up for Maya on the Android app store and there is also a desktop version.  The Maya app will also soon be available for download in the Apple app store.
